Linear AK-21W Access Control Digital Keypad, Outdoor
The Linear AK-21W is a digital keypad that’s designed as a solution for outdoor access control. Housed in a plastic enclosure, these keypads are meant for easy mounting on electrical boxes. The keys are die-casted to have bright yellow graphics, making them easy to read.
The keypad reads up to 480 different entry codes, ranging from 1 to 6 digits in length, which are used to activate two relay outputs, the first one having a 5 Amp capacity while the second one with a 1 Amp capacity. These relays can be used to time the latch on and latch off functions, associating them with specific entry codes. The keypads are also designed to maintain their toggle state despite any power interruption, so that they’ll just assume their current state just before the power got removed. It retains all programmed codes despite the loss of power.
There is a panel of LED indicators to show the status of the entry system. The light is red when the keypad is powered and green when there’s proper access. A separate light turns yellow in case of a lock out condition, which results from too many wrong code entries. These lights can be programmed to always activate, to wait between 1-4 minutes between key presses, or not at all. Each key also makes a sound on each press.
