LockState ResortLock 1-Wire Reader
The LockState ResortLock 1-Wire iButton Reader is a special wire device meant to help ResortLock users program their locks. The wire, which is actually an iButton reader, facilitates the transfer of data programmed through the PC into the iButton which can then be used to transmit information to your installed ResortLocks on any door.
The 1-Wire cable plugs conveniently into the USB port, so it’s compatible to all computers. Once plugged in, the computer will automatically set up the drivers for the device. These drivers, however, can also be downloaded from ResortLock’s website. Use a computer that has the ResortLock application software installed and from there you can program a
number of things, such as:
- New Entry Codes
- Daylight Savings Mode
- Set Light to Blink
- Classroom or storehouse modes
Once the information has been issued to the iButton, the information can then be relayed by touching the button onto the front of the lock, making sure to press the reset button on the locks first. If done properly, a beeping sound will be heard and all the date, time, codes, and other settings would have been set.
Conversely, the 1-Wire reader is used to register the serial numbers of multiple locks to your computer, allowing you to program different locks with ease.
